An aggregate of P grade (after external and internal put together) is required in each course for a pass and also for awarding a degree (A minimum of 20% marks in external evaluation is needed for a pass in a course. But no separate pass minimum is needed for internal evaluation).

- Note: Int. Max: 15, Ext Max: 60, Ext Min (20%):12, Tot Min (35%): (27 Marks for pass)
- Note: Int. Max: 10, Ext Max: 40, Ext Min (20%):8, Tot Min (35%): (18 Marks for pass)
Credit Point = Grade Point (GP) * Credit Sum of the credit points of all courses in a semester SGPA = Total credits in that semester
Evaluation
The Evaluation scheme for each course shall contain two parts
- Internal Assessment
- External Assessment
20% of weight shall be given to the internal assessment. The remaining 80% weight shall be for the external evaluation.
Internal Assessment
Components with percentage of mark of internal evaluation for theory course are – Test paper 40%, Assignment 20%, Seminar 20% and Class room participation based on attendance 20 %. For Practical course- theory 60%and lab Involvement 40%.
External Assessment
External Evaluation carries 80% of marks. All question papers. Shall be set by the University. The external question papers may be of uniform pattern with 80/60 marks. The Courses with 2/3 credits will have an external exam of 2 hours duration with 60 marks and courses with 4/5 credits will have an external examination of 2.5 hours duration with 80 marks.
